Unfortunately this is Agathodaimon's only album i had the chance to listen to.In my opinion it is at least wonderful. It is a very good combination of Romanian culture (read the lyrics , most of them belong to well-known Romanian poets such as Mihai Eminescu) and German instrumental professionalism. It is a truly valuable album considering the fact that most german bands sound like crap(there are just too many of them). It is mostly a symbolistical album. I'll give it: 8,5/10

This band could be so good, but they put a lot of crap on their album. There are some really memorable tracks and also some very forgettable ones on this album. The clean vocals are superb, but the bulk of the non-clean vocals are pretty much crap. The guitars are at times low on the mix or hollow sounding, and sometimes it's hard to believe there's really six or seven people playing in the band (not a lot of power or oomph).

The highlight on this is the redone Ribbons/Requiem, which is one of the most sorrowful songs in the genre I have ever heard (the vocals on this track are probably the best on the album, but there is one point where the high-pitched growl vocals are turned too high in the mix...the first time I heard it, I cringed).

Overall, the band has a very unique sound and some interesting song structures. Just sometimes, they kind of miss the mark.

I give it a 7/10.
