i had this one burned and i'm very glad i didn't bought him

the first cd is a live gig april 14 2001
the sound is very good, musical performance is very good (adrian's drumming has really improved)
but dani's voice is worn, broken...
when he shrieks very high (listen to The Forest Whispers My Name) his voice is so annoying
The Forest Whispers My Name is one of the best cradle songs (and also one of the best on this cd) but halfway the song he tries shrieking very high and he sounds like a sick cat
anyway...the first cd is still below average for cradle but it isn't pure shit (unlike the second disc)

the second cd is one i'd rather piss on then put in the cd player
BIABG polished coffin mix (oh god, faggots)
NTTC sisters of mercy mix (gay as fuck)
and the mix of From the cradle to enslave is fucking techno!!
what the fuck is that huh???
CoF featuring Prodigy????
2nd cd is PURE SHIT!!!
Cradle is dead
and that's it!

First disc: 72/100
Second disc: 21/100

This album is great!!! the No Time to Cry cover rules! The live part shows how well CoF may sound when they really wish it!
the booklet design is a piece of artwork... buy it or burn in hell!!

This is a great live album. I personally believe it to be one of the best live albums in my collection, plus what makes it better is the added bonuses the band have thrown in on the other CD, such as the other version to the Sisters Of No Mercy cover, "No Time To Cry" (which is better than the version on 'Bitter Suites...').

Now this is an interesting release. The first cd is the live cd which is pretty good, good track list, and good preformance by the band.. To tell you the truth I was a bit dissapointed by this release but not because it's bad, i guess I was just expecting something very exotic and I didn't get that, however I must say that this is a very well made release. The first cd has 2 problems though, one is that the songs lost some of their studio charisma because the band had to rely on one setup which sounds obvious, of course they wouldn't have the same sound, just that every cd has it's own unique feeling, and that was a bit lost, mainly because of the one setup and because that the guitars vere more dominant than on the cd's.
That's not neceserrily a problem, but the second problem is that the distortion is sometimes crunchy and turns into an undefineble static like noise (though it's allways in the background, it usually happens when you listen to the other guitar, so it may be overlooked).
Thouhg the setup is not perfect, it is noticeble that there was alot of work put into it to fit all the different sounds as best as possible. The band puts in a good preformance, and we get to hear a new type of voice by Dani that will probebly be heard more in Demnation And A Day. I would prefered it if they played the solos more like in the albums though.
Dani's comments inbetween the songs are a good addition to it as they are sometimes amusing (" exept she has limbs.."lol), and the symphonic track that opens the show is really good and well compsed (I'm starting to think that Martin is their most talented musician).
On the bottom line though, there are 2 type of bands when it comes to live cd's, the ones that make great live cd's and the ones who's studio versions are better. Cradle seem to fall into the second category, but this is still a good cd, and scored an 8.2 out of 10 for me.
The second cd is the interesting one.
It starts with 2 songs off the Bitter Suites album, first one being a better version than the original in my opinion, cus the guitars are louder therefore it is heavier (that's baisicly the biggest difference, exept for some different keyboards in the end) the second is the video version of No Time To Cry, just as good as the Bitter Suites version I think. There're also 2 good soundcheck recordings, especially Noctornal Supremacy, and a demo of Scorched Earth Erotica.
What I would like to know, is where all those damn technoo industrial tracks come from?!?!?! There're 2 of them there, a new track, and a remix of From The Cradle.... It's weird, none of the band members listens to that music, but those tracks keep coming up for some reason GRRR!
At least the new track one is tolorable.
The cd ends with a cover song of Twisted Sister, ok but not too special.
Then after all this, we have the mini program in the second cd with the director's cut version of the No Time To Cry video, very cool and well made, and a screensaver and IE toolbar.
Baisicly a very good package, and i didn't even say a word about the great artwork of this cd yet.
I won't though, I've already wrote enough :0

this is a very good live the artwork has to be the best cradle have had and i have to admit dani looks so hot in the centre picture of the album

Lord Luzifer, how come you would expect a live album to have the quality of a studio album? Of course live albuns are not as good as studio albuns, cause of the maintenence... that's one of the differences of the word "live" and "studio".
But nice review though, only criticizing that point!

I really don't get this,
Cruelty- 8.6
Dusk- 8.9
Midian- 8.1

This album is a compilation of songs from these albums, how the fuck did it get a 6.4???
This makes no sence to me, it's a good compilation of some of their best songs, all of which appear to be appriciated here judging by the ratings, so why such a low rating? After all, B-sides don't count, although some of them are nice... Ah well, strange world..

Yo, it's Joe!!!
I liked Peace Through Superior Firepower more, but that's because they were more developed then. However, I did think it was great for its' time. I loved lord abortion. I also liked the fact that it included an extra disc with remixes and such.
