hail to you dear reader ! good..good and i think i must say that's a complete and a brilliant album from DOMINION CALIGULA. i think they make a majestic melodic black metal masterpiece in thier first step, in their debute album. they choose a best album title A NEW ERA RISES. really a new era rises from the world of metal...but i must said many atmosphere themes from this album are more similar to HYPOCRISY's slow songs like SLIPPIN AWAY or DEATHROW ! but still they play this mood of music too complete ! i hope DOMINION and EMPEROR MAGUS CALIGULA close the door of DARK FUNERAL and keep fuckin rock with their MOTHERFUCKIN project, DOMINION CALIGULA !!!!!! but no ! what i say ??!!! DARK FUNERAL still rulez ! RATING: 9/10 Review by: demafire This is just brilliant. I suppose you all know that Emperor Magus Caligula and Dominion (from Dark Funeral) really know what they are doing. Moberg is one of the best growlers out there and these guys really know how to create melodic black. A very nice variation compared to Dark Funeral. Only one thing am I dissapointed with - their promising lyrics about the roman empire, what happened to them? Not once have I been able to read their lyrics, they don't realease them anywhere! Apart from that - This is a very good album. I guess, you can call this, a fuckin' masterpiece. Praise the gods! Review by: Umbakrail This is without a doubt one of the best albums ever. Melodic Black/Death Metal at its greatest. Nothing more really needs to be said. The only crap thing is that it looks like there wont be any more albums from this band seeing as Emperor Magus Caligula is only working on Dark Funeral and God Among Insects now :'( Fingers crossed though, hopefully they will make another masterpiece like this in the near future.
