As soon as I heard this obscure melodic folkish-metal band I knew I had found something unique. I gathered up all their other albums, but was never impressed more than I was with this one.

The atmosphere of this album is extremly unique, and what I can only describe as "dreamy". Reverb drowned guitar tone, a CONSTANT flow of memorable melodies, acoustic breaks and unique drumming throughout create this beautiful, desolate atmosphere. The only element that I don't find top-notch is the singing, being more screamy and incoherent than most bands. I gave this album a 9 because of that, otherwise it would get a 10.

Song recommendations: "Wonder Clouds Rain", "I Feathe to the Juniper"

I was absolutely carried away by this wonderful music. It`s Fall of the Leafe second output and absolutely awesome.
In comparisson with their first release (Evanescent,Everfading) this work is much more mature from musical point of view.
They play atmospheric black metal with slightly perseptible touches of melodic death metal(AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SWEEDS,
NOTHING!!!!).
mUSIC IS VERY BEAUTIFUL.Generally it is mid paced but there are a lot of faster parts so you`ll never get boring.Atmospheric feeling comes from
leads that are the main driving force of every song, acoustic guitars are wonderfully inserted into slower passages and perfect drumming that erapts into
hyperfast blastbeats.Needless to say that the production is brilliant.
Vocal parts are trully scaring. It`s a combination of black and death vocal lines combined together that sounds more black anyway. There are moments of clean singing
from time to time to dissolve the atmosphere.
What do you think these guys sing about? All the common subjects for such kind of music are not involved at all that`s for sure.Lyrics is very abstract/It really needs
some insight or guidence into.Besides it is written in a very strange way -more like thoughts of a person expressed on paper.
I`d like to highlight song number 6.This track is very weird. It sounds very fast and even brutal and the first time i heard it was like i was listening to a completely new band
under the same moniker.
If you buy this album you `ll gain twice or even thrice from music.Money you `ll spend on it is nothing in comparrison with the
sensations to experience.
I guess the best time to listen to the music of Fall of the Leafe is a late evening on the threshold of night. All day worries are far away.Relax, muse, think about something distant
and let the music take you on a journey into your own personal August wernike...

Great reverbed melodies. Hard to categorize this music. Its metal but a rock oriented one. But fuck this ok? This album is an exception and i mean it. Highly talented or lucky? Dont know but they didnt do it again on the next recordings. Just get this. You will not regret. Highlights: Feathe to the Juniper,
Efflorence Black and White, Wander Clouds Rain, Bleak Picture August. Fantastic.
