a true funeral doom masterpiece, this is. awesomely slow, and still heavy and featuring intelligent and creative riffs and keyboards. ten minutes of this and you're guaranteed busy stabbing yourself in the head. atmosphere, that's what this album (album? song!) is all about. yes sir, this piece of combined extremes is one of the best funeral doom albums ever created. and although the drums (or drum machine, as i'm quite certain, since there's a few "impossible" things in it) are somwhat a minor point this still is a must-have. Review by: astathica I always thought it a pity that they released Monolithe I as a single 50+ minute track, even though it fits the name. But as it is now, my opinion is that this huge song combines both excellent parts and more experimental ones where they seem to lose it a bit. Still quite a good release though I would have loved to hear more of the atmospheric and wonderfully heavy parts, and less of the faster stuff.
