A clasic and epochial album. Quite simply a must own, as it's blend of ferocious anger and artful expression intense inner emotion is unmatched.

Some songs are brutal, some are ambient, and the last gives you that empty feeling that you got when you heard your mother died a horrible death or when you when you got a little nuts in 'Nam and burned down a hut full of children...

Most of the synth sounds are dated. NIN can certainly be accused of sometimes being repetative. Also, I think that the parts consisting of overwhelming noize probably could have been accomplished without being as annoying to listen to. Finally, the production on this album is GOD-LIKE.

Trent reznor is nothing more then a pretentious moron making an attempt to do some arty garbage. And this album shows why His lyrics are near childish (I wanna fuck u like an animal)how very rebellious mr reznor. Do yourselves afavour avoid this at all costs and gop buy youselves a SYL album or something that requires real arty talent.

One of my favorite albums and probably one of the best album's of the 90's. It's heavy then soft, pure noise then melodic beauty. And yeah it may get repetitive, but come on! It's industrial!! It's supposed to be repetitive! I would suggest this album to anyone, regardless of what you normally listen to. A real modern day masterpeice.

It`s beyond my imagination that so many metalheads says to like this crap. Of course, good music is good music no matter what genre it is, thats truly a fact but this is so fuckin bad my head hurts.
Either it`s fuckin techno or it`s plane and simple commercial shit.
Nine inch nails should`nt be at zenial at all. It`s a disgrace.

Best Fucking album ever made. Non of the tracks sound the same. They all have a different feel to them. And the more you listen the more you can hear the suicide feeling.
This is a album that will grow more and more on you.
Just try

Whoever says this is crap should be shot! This is an absolute masterpiece! I agree, i'm no fan of anything american but when this came out, it fucked over everything at the time! Agreeably, there was more heavier and harder sounding bands but commercially, this reached a far more varied audience! Now, i know how we all love a band to stay pure and underground, but NIN were never really underground! It's odd that they feature here on Zenial, but for goodness sake, realise what an amazing album this is and what it did for metal! Whether you like it or not for being a "pure" black/death metal head (which I am) you cannot deny that this album should be within the ranks of the top albums to define a genre or whoever! It nearly changed my life had i not been sucked into the realms of Blackness and found the likes of Ulver/Mayhem/Satyricon who, by the way, are feeling the strains of commercialism these days! Sad but true as Metallica once sang!! I rest my case!!!!!
