A master piece of funeral doom. Great production, growl vocals, depressive sinth. Iosolate your mind and let them guide you into a desperate world. Best track? "Angels of Distress" with a simil "Chiaro di Luna" intro. I'm crying..... Review by: kokoi Shape of Despair... Slowly death, dark beauty... Like poison of life... 'Fallen' is a promising beginning, but the next song bores me as hell. Third and fourth tracks have some interesting moments, but they long too much. Well, the fourth track is really a good song, however this album leaves me unsatisfied. Review by: danchloe Boring ? I thought the whole world was slowly and painfully dying when i first heard this cd. Just one chance to survive : listening to angels of distress in a secret garden were you will be protected by the strongest power in the world : DOOM. The songs are so extemely beautiful on this album ( quiet these paintings are !!!), I like to call this Escapology metal because you don't feel anymore you're of this world when listening to this.The synthesiser and female vocals ( who have nothing to do with that kind of nuclear blast/gothic shit) are really great!! Actually everything is , it's a world funeral. btw : it's so funny that the pope and marduk said the same last words in the same month, ...I always knew the pope has panzer division on his chest tatoed ^^ ^^ ^^ . so all this and that make shape of despair ( including that fellow from amorpis)is one of the highlights in DOOM.Saying that , I guess my rating won't surprise anybody : 5 out of 5 Review by: um jammer nectarus The best funeral doom album, that world has ever seen (or should I say heard)...
