The best speed industrial metal album ever

Review by: Adam Clark

I've been a Devin Fan for a long time now, and this album even though released half a decade ago, still has yet to be topped. No band, I say again...no band in existance has ever recorded an album full of true emotional impact and raw aggressiveness than SYL. Devin writes all the music and lyrics, and simply destroyes other bands on his own. This isn't immature shock oriented "Im going to kill you and drink your blood" anger like bands such as Cannibal Corpse. This is real, true anger and emotion and that's what makes this album so deathly good. The music is structured, devistating and unrelenting. By far the best heavy metal album ever recorded, and the production is the best Ive ever heard. A true masterpiece. Buy it.

Ahhhh....Devin, this man is a genius and this album is proof of it. Nothing is quite so fast, so clean, so raw, so industrial, so metal as this album. Words can not describe, you have to hear it in you own ears, and must be played loud. Buy, it's a masterpeice.

A Complete Masterpiece. Hands Down, one of the best metal albums EVER MADE, if not THE best metal album ever made. Devin Townsend is the musical genious of our time and has created an album that changed my life. Honestly, the only album I can truly give a perfect 10. If you don't have it yet, buy it now.

Im not a fan of loud angry music. But man Strapping Young Lad keep the beats loud and catchy. Even the intro song Velvet Kevorkian is amazing. I dont care what Manowar says Strapping Young Lad is the heaviest band in the fucking world HANDS DOWN. Dev is a genuis musically we know that from his solo stuff. This stuff can be considered crap cause he almost doesnt care, maybe thats what is so amazing bout it. Seems like hes so angry he needs to let stuff out. It is a must buy.

Raelly good shit! It sounds like mixture of music played by Emperor (guitars, perc.), Fear Factory (samples) and... Linkin Fuck (some melody vox). Of course everything is played really fast, with mathematical precision (ripping guitars and mighty Gene Holgan on the perc.,which sounds like a hellish machine powered by some alkohol. Music of SYL really pass to lyrics inspired by stories about aliens and hopeless future of our planet.
