A realy great album!! Depresive but still great.turn off the lights and listen to songs like Regreat, Fragile dreams and alternative IV and it will take you to a place were is no coming back | Review by: Sad spirit Hm, Sad Spirit, I donīt know. I like this album, but i donīt think istīs really depressive, Iīd say itīs melancholic. Fragile Dreams, Feel, Empty and lost Control are totally great, but the rest I think is somehow to relaxed to be really grieving. At first I sort of ignored it since i love the old Anathema so much, but the other day when i was on a road trip i popped it in and the most best shit i've ever heard come out of the new Anathema besides the Silent Enigma. The only song i see as anywhere near depressive would be the Title Track, but, Fragile Dreams, Empty and Lost Control are some of the highlights, the whole album is killer! Review by: viktor_type_o This is my personal Anathema favourite! Itīs more melancholic than depressive, thatīs true, and itīs also true, that thereīs suddenly a light, a warm feeling. If I think about Anathema on that album I imagine Anathema as one person. A person who was more sad than glad, sometimes even moaning about life. And suddenly, after all these years,this person comes again and says:"Maybe thereīs more about life, maybe itīs worth living. Letīs try!" Yes, thereīs a positive(!), warm feeling inside.And isnīt melancholy just this feeling when you remember the good days of your life, maybe long ago? And thatīs the reason to go on. Thereīs the will to live.Thatīs my personal message on this album. Itīs just great. Sadly enough, I donīt have the re-release version. Review by: Body Ok, I never understood why this album got so much credit because it is far inferior to Eternity or Judgement. Although it has some great songs on it, it also has some of the worst Anathema songs ever written - bordering on cheeziness which doesn't work for a band of this nature. Worst song ever = Empty. Don't get me wrong though cause this is a good album - it just isn't put together that well being espcially weak if it was meant to be a concept album, not sure. anyway, 7/10 Review by: shanewick magnificient. excellent.melancholy for us .....in a time for solitude.....really a masterpiece for all eternity!!!!!!!
