Great album! After weak 'Mercenery' Bolt Thrower returns to their 'IV Crusade' form. Awesome slow but brutal death metal without stupid Satan lyrics Review by: misiod This is simply the best death metal album of all time. Review by: Fressor Fressor: then I suggest you listen to the first Deicide album, Morbid Angel´s "Covenant", "Tomb Of The Mutilated" of CC, Obituary´s "Slowly We Rot", Bolt Thrower´s "...For Victory", the new Kaamos record, "Dark Is The Season" from Benediction, the first Entombed album, the second Dismember CD and at least 50 other Death Metal records. This album is allright, but NEVER the best of all times, not even among the best hundred... Personally '...For Victory' is my fav, but this is a decent album. What renders is almost unlistenable, is the SHITTY fucking vocals of that Barney-clone Dave Ingram. Wow that dude sucks. I wish that they would have kept Martin Van Drunen, or at least used Karl as a session vocalist again. That would have been a perfect fit vocally. This album is good, but NOT one of the best death metal albums. It is NOT SO great. It is war death metal that Bolt Thrower play so well, but it is nothing special. I would like to add "Testimony of the Ancients" (1991, Pestilence) to Necroking's suggest list.
