I think on this album there are a bit too much songs without metal. A lot noises, winds, bells and all. Despite that, the music they do make, is cool. CF is one of the bands not going commercial and stay underground. Big hail! | Review by: blackstar666 I think that if they dind't have all these small parts between the raw songs, the album would be a bit boring in length. Anyway, this is a fucking great album by these misanthropic monsters! Tracks like Bloodcleansing, Mask Of The Slave, Martyr / Sacrificulum, The Suicide Song, and He's Turning Blue are just rockin' black metal filled with anger and nice, simple yet inventive riffs. I can't understand those who dislike Carpathian Forest really! Review by: Lazz Strange... I find this album boring and the previous one, Black Shining Leather, quite good... Review by: Twi666 this band a celtic frost copy! guitar riffs same celtic frost..but not bad...why they say -we are norwegian black metal band? they play celtic frost! Review by: Beyto Strange Old Brew is a very good album, compared to those heaps of shit that are released nowdays in the scene, named their style Black Metal. Carpathian Forest is one of the few bands that still believe in the style without compromise. Nattefrost's vocal-style is almost as evil on this release as Quorthon's was at Bathory's "golden age". Thanatology is one of the darkest tracks of the B.M. history! Their lyrics are also really dark and obliviously do have messages to the listener. Their other releases are great as well, but most I like this one. Review by: Goatworship very good album with a lot of rock n rollish influences! songs like HES TURNING BLUE and MASK OF THE SLAVE are hymns to the kind.its true that this songs\sounds that this cd contains are little bit boring but the rest of the cd covers your needs perfectly i think!!!a very raw black metal album for die hard venom\bathory fans!!!
