This 4-song-mini is the first and heaviest release of Cathedral. Very dark and depressive Doom Metal with Death-Metal-style Grunts. The only things that sucks is the stupid looking cover...When you love the first Paradise Lost-LP or "Serenades" from old Anathema, you should check this one and the following full-lenght "Forest of Equilibrium" out. Doom/Death rules! | Review by: Pestkrieg So, this is where the whole majickal mystical Cathedral journey started. As you probably know, this is punishingly slow, but it is also perfectly constructed, and consistantly listenable. This sounds much more 'black and white' than their first album proper, with no flutes or acoustic guitars, but still exhibits flashes of the creeping horror that was to come. What separates them from other bands are their supremely memorable riffs, and songs that can stand up to any classic metal band. And the perfect Pentagram cover certainly doesn't hurt either.
