This is a album witch you must hear 230 times before youre going to like it. | The guitars and voice are good produced, but the drums are very crappy. And the drummer (akhenaten i guess) isnt very good. He misses the rythm some times. But overal a good album. 8 of 10 Review by: euronydead Hardly evolved since the cold earth, a definate continuation of the typical JI style. Both musical competence and compositions slightly improved, although the drums still suck (and they continue to do so untill Akhenaten finally gives up doing the drums himself, heheh) and the end result is still raw as fuck. Really awesome songs, as always total Darkthrone worship. Unless you're one of those fags that has a problem with rip-offs, get this album! Review by: hatefukk this album is not for common suicide girls or for posers who think just because they own transelvanian hunger they are "down" with true black art. this stuff is simple depraved and deffinately takes patience to appreciate. on this album akhenaten creates an atmoshpere that can make one truly believe that humanity is dead and those around them are little more than hollow shells on auto-pilot. those familiar with judas iscariot's work do not need to be reminded of the lack-luster drum work but virgin listeners cannot expect to hear a trym or even fenriz worthy performance. all other instrumentation is more than competent and the layered guitar arrangements are simply brilliant. listen to "his eternal life, like a dream was obliterated" while depressed and alone. it will bring order to chaos. Review by: dedslut First of all, yes, the drumming is inexpert, but it does not detract from the mood of the album. This black metal classic(in my mind, at least) is basically in the droning, repetitive style of black metal. It captures a very bleak, melancholic, yet hateful mood as well as pretty much any black metal band. Any fan of the more "elite" style of black metal will find this to their liking. I also encourage fans of Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth to listen to Judas Iscariot, and name drop cult and obscure bands in all conversations with true black metal maniacs. Review by: TheWelkinAtDusk Incredible atmosphere and for me best JI album to date. Cold & grim. For the true believers... Review by: K.K. the best album of judas iscariot!! the song # 6 is excellent!
