One of the greatest Metal album! A great mix of DeathmetaL, Jazz and oldschool Melody. A Macabre but interesting way to tell and insane story of a Murder. Exelent Musicians, variedly Voices and breathtaking solos are common on this album Review by: Nidhoegger Well this maybe a bit late, but hey what the fuck... This album could be considered as their ultimate masterpiece, why? simple.. Macabre has managed on this album to mix Brutal deathmetal, N.Y. hardcore, punk and thrash into 26 songs. Each song individually has it's own lick of the above mentioned genres, put in the great musicianship, the clear production and the ability to show ones own face makes this an excellent band. Now what is macabre's ability then? would one think, well these guys always had a feeling to "metalize" famous commercial tunes, child songs and traditional tunes, placing a funny lyric about some murderer on top of the metalized song and voila! One more great song every sorry soul will yell along on a concert! Not only musically is Dahmer a thrill, but also lyricly. The albums lyrics have been set up as an concept-album, telling the life story of the mentally deranged and überpsycho Jeffrey Dahmer, every song represents a period in his life, from his deranged childhood, till the gruesome death he died in prison.
