I think this is their weakest release. Since this is somehow boring me, it just can't keep me interested. Just average Viking metal, although I am not sure if you can call this really metal. But still a lot better than other Viking releases, like Einherjer's 'Odin Owns Ye All' (which really sucks) | Review by: Flix Excellent first full-length effort from the masters of Viking metal. Dual melodic guitar work with strong folk influences permeates this record. There is the occasional keyboard here and there, but low and only in the background. The music has some black metal influences, most notably the voice and blast beats. Two pieces (Tills Dagen Gryr and Let Thy Ale Swing) are folk-based and establish quite a unique atmosphere. Some strong Maiden-ish hints can be found on this record, so the true Nargaroth fans might stay clear of this one. All others can enjoy an album of truly powerful Viking metal - (10/10) Review by: Oligopod
