This box set is great!The choice of the songs are good (I thing that the 1 disk is the weakest), the booklet has a large interview with Aron, and you get a poster, not big but at least something!!The 3 remixes are allso done good and the live songs truly rock.Three great disks of melancholy, love and doom !!! A MUST FOR ALL FREAKS/FANATICS | Review by: meshuggah Well, lately Peaceville is busy releasing compilations and re-re-re-re-editing old material. Making money in other words. I'm not saying it's bad, and on the whole the Peaceville compilations are nice. Was necessary for MDB after the Meisterwerks I & II ? Well, probably is better to have more material than nothing. The packaging is very similar to Katatonia's 'the Black Sessions', nice except the horrible cover with the phantasmagoric bride. It comes with a poster where Hamish looks like a Cradle of Filth member, and a big booklet with a big interview with Aaron. Probably not the best place for an interview, but it is interesting, actually interesting. So like a fan I am satisfied with the booklet, and the song selection is quite good. Some surprises like the absence of 'Your River' and songs like 'Like Gods of the Sun', 'the Blue Lotus' or 'God Is Alone' that don't deserve a place in a best of compilation. But the rest are fantastic. About the new versions they are quite okay, specially 'my wine in silence remix' is pretty interesting. I would prefer to appear the amazing original version of 'The Raven and the Rose' together with the remix. In a nutshell, the music is amazing, more than 200 minutes listening the best songs of the best band over the planet is a fucking orgasm.
