Here Nagash shows the black metal world how it should be done. True norweigian black metal itīs called and thatīs a fitting discription, cause this album is an assualt of militant, anti-christian, norweigian lyrics which would easily make the adrenaline pump in every slumbering heatensoul. Just look at the songtitels; With violence christian lifes should be taken, Kill the christians, Christianhate etc. Musicwise the synths play a dominant roll and guitars are very distorted and tends to drown (along with the drums) in the production but this is probably made on purpose to create trollish atmosphere. Thereīs lots different instruments used here but only when itīs suits the music and at itīs moments this tops most of what you heard before. Nagash vocals are great, just fucking great. The entirety is astonishing, the material is everything you can wish. Melodic to the edge but still so raw. Review by: black_fog Although this album isn't very original, it is very good. It reminds a bit of old Emperor(wrath period). The riffs are good the keys are great but not as dominating as on Dimmu Borgir albums. That is in my eyes a very great thing, cuzz i listen to metal for metals sake. I don't recal any black metal being goth? They wear corspe paint? if he's refering to Black Metal bands that wear corpse paint and use synths in there music, than he has his own prefernce. I don't like any music that is half assed with no melody. Thats what music is music and still be heavy and dark with melodys. Not just white noise and gargling glass. This is Troll best album, atmospheric and melodic in a raw and potent way. The Drep de kristne "Kill the christians" album is by far there best release. Prince Nagash proves that: when you want something done well, do it yourself. And frankly, I'd take this album over any fucking Emperor, Mayhem, Immortal, Dimmu, and Darkthrone album any day.
