this a great black metal album. | i've never heard something lik this before it's black metal with clean vocals. this album RULES Review by: metaltom This fucking unbelievable!! Really good, I can't describe it that well... This is really one of the best albums ever made. Try it! 10/10 Review by: Flix This album really has a great feel to it. Just close your eyes and visions of the dark ages, nature and northern mythology start to form in your head. The mix of folkish elements and black metal is done in a great way. It sounds very natural and convincing. Vintersorg sounds far better than your average black metal band with some added folk-parts. I think genre descriptions that come close to the art displayed on this record are viking metal(Thyrfing) or maybe forest metal(Ulver in their Bergtatt and Kveldsjanger years). Still I haven't heard anything quite alike to this (and believe me when I say I've heard alot). Review by: werewolf666 Again another great album from the band Vintersorg, who has build up a great reputation with their scandinavian Sound. this album has one thing that is different than the other albums and that is that it is a bit more folkish metal, they still have the original Vintersorg sound but now they blended in a little bit more folkish than the other albums. Review by: pilz666 Fucking Great Album! Black Metal with a lot of Clean Vocals and other Folk Elements (forexample the acoustic guitar play). One of Vintersorgs best. 9/10 because it's just 40 minutes long... Review by: Vintersjele This is a great album, but maybe not as good as ödemarkens son. Songs like för kung och fosterland, isjungfrun, the magnifficent title track and vildmarkens förtrollande stemmor are my favorites. Review by: manndaudsvinter I am surprised that the reviews are so favourable. It is a good album. However, it just sounds a bit too nice and polite. The agressive parts just sound too hollow. Although it sounds a bit like Ulver, there is none of the darkness on the early Ulver records. Review by: fundamentalist1981 Wow... WoW again and again.. and again... Thay made it again. The great thing with this album is that ALL tracks are good. Especially "till fjälls" Mix of rosty and clean voice. Old fashioned tracks ("rundans" for example). Next minuit you hear a wild track with fast guitar and wonderful voice. Masterpiece! But I don´t understand why I´m getting tired of their albums. 8/10 Review by: Gustav_ There is nothing that about dozen of other northern bands havent done before so it sounds boring. It is nice but worth 6,5 or so. Review by: slayerr
