Paradise Lost - Lost Paradise
Score: 10/10
Thre are a lot of good death metal albums at the time Lost Paradise is released. But Paradise Lost have given this album a different kind of sound. Most of the time it's pretty fast and brutal, but there's enough melody to keep it interesting. Especially the slower parts give it a doomy feeling. Personally I think it's one of the best doom death albums I know.

Morgoth - The Eternal Fall
Score: 6/10
This is one of the best cds in the wave of good old death metal that became popular begin 90's. The songs are brutal yet melodic, it's well played and the production is a bit vague, and the pieces with keyboards or relaxed guitars just give it all a bit of extra dimension. Of course it's not extremely original or innovative, but with music like this, it doesn't have to be. This is one for the real death metal fan.
